Founding Team

Pierre Gaudet B.Sc., M.Sc.

Pierre is an Exercise Physiologist and former Lab Director at the University of Ottawa's Human Kinetics Assessment Center. Co-founded and directed the Sport Science Center in Ottawa working with over 20 Olympic and professional teams on exercise programs. He was also Program Director of the "Health & Lifestyle Management Programs" for one of the largest Medical Group in Canada.

Dr. Jeff Balon B.Sc., DC, MD, CCFP.

Jeffrey has over 29 years of health industry experience having practiced as a physician and chiropractor in private and public health environments. He is currently a family physician/chiropractor with a focus on integrating health and lifestyle interventions to assist patients in improving and maintaining their health. He also has a strong interest in pain management. He has served as a director of Corporate Medical Services for the largest Medical Group in Canada and continues to be involved in research in both pharmaceutical as well as complementary and alternative medicine.

Ed McNeely B.Sc., M.Sc.

Ed has been a consultant to 17 Canadian National and professional sports teams, including 31 Olympic medalists. He is the author of five books and has published over 100 articles on training and athlete conditioning. Ed is a frequent speaker at National and international sport and fitness conferences.

David Keys B.A., M.B.A., LL.B.

David has been on the senior management teams of Fulcrum Technologies Inc., World Heart Inc. and as Corporate Counsel for Cognos Inc.(acquired by IBM), a well-known leader in business intelligence software tools. David was also Chief Operating Officer of Buystream Inc., a web based monitoring and analytics company. Since 2002, David has worked with a number of companies as Chairman of their Board of Directors or Chairman of the Advisory Board .

 

Advisory Board Members  

Dr. Michael Shannon has an extensive public health and sports medicine background.  He co-authored the Canadian Forces Physical Fitness Program (Express) and was the founding director of Blood Services Canada.

Alan Vickers B. Ed. has extensive senior management experience with internationally known consumer product companies. He was a President of Nike France, and President of Reebok for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Alan has been instrumental in developing the Starbucks Brand in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Russia.

Mike Laginski, B.Comm has nearly 30 years of technology company experience from industry leading companies, including Lotus, Cognos, and Fulcrum Technologies. He is currently the CEO of Klocwork Inc. Mike was senior vice president and general manager of North American Operations at Lotus, chief operating officer at Fulcrum Technologies and has marketing and product management experience at Lotus and Cognos.
